Our Mission
To provide a platform,
-For giving global exposure to the neediest differently able people;
- For the differently able and stakeholders for interaction and coordination in their joint journey;
- For differently able to Identify, develop and expose their talents at national and international level;
- For differently able to get relief from the physiological stress of stigma, discrimination and inaccessibility and to motivate them towards an active lifestyle.
Rotational Empowering Assistance Programme for Differently Able persons
It is a Program whereby Assistance are made available for enhancing the livelihood of Differently Able persons.
Differently Able persons can apply for Assistance Such as Loans up to two lakhs for enhancing their livelihood. It is hoped that a debtor will repay the Assistance Such as Loans on agreed terms within three years. Sums repaid would be made available to other Differently Able persons to enhance their livelihood. A debtor can also apply for a further sum for enhancing his livelihood.
Those who worked , Those who contributed, Those who participated In the Festival of Differently Able Tamils, Tamil Para Sports for the Consecutive three years or recent sports time and demonstrated their enterprise through the livelihood activity already set up by them.
Those falling within the Program would form a network among them to function as a Chamber of Commerce of Differently Able Tamils. Periodical workshops on vocational training and commercial management would be arranged. Practitioners in the trade including experts and those in the banking sector would participant the workshops to advice on the trading opportunities in the market.
A Differently Able Trader would be chosen every year for claiming the prize money of rupees two lakhs "(LKR)". The criteria for a winner are, • No arrears of payment in monthly dues • Should have expanded his vocation • Should have encouraged other Differently Able Tamils to set up a livelihood • Should persevere with work involving Sports Festival of Differently Able Tamils
Every Differently Able person granted a loan should display total commitment to achieving the goal of being able to stand on his own feet by uplifting himself by utilising the Assistance provided. It is expected that he would tirelessly strive in the chosen vocation. However, if his vocation is affected by events not within his control, he should formally notify DATA, present an alternative proposal for recouping losses and continue to interact with DATA.
We have to take due note that over two thousand Differently Able persons did take part in the Tamil Para Sports Festival of Differently Able Tamils. Including others would be taken once those two thousand persons had been included in the Program.
Abi Diamond Jewellers and Raj Cluster Ltd, chief sponsors of the 2018 Tamil Para Sports Festival are the initial donors for this Program. This Program commences with the first phase of their donation. Uplift in life experienced by those on the Program would be shared among other investors and donors as a beacon for involving others too in this Program. Based on this platform, opportunities would be afforded for others to become donors for this Program. Every Differently Able investor must make public their achievements thus spurring other donors to come forward and also strive to raise further capital for recoupment of losses, if incurred.

The initial beneficiaries are those who have contributed and strived alongside us for three years, that is since the inception of 2016. These beneficiaries could introduce new beneficiaries. Further, the 48 groups that participated in our North & East Tamil Para Sports Competitions are requested to contact us should any of their members be in need for enhancing their livelihoods. Upon receipt of their details, we will contact them for completing appropriate forms of application. Their applications will be duly processed based on the exact needs and special features. Thereafter, their details would be made public "yes" and shared with donors for arranging the payment of loans.
• Applicants should have participated in the Differently Able Tamils Tamil Para Sports Festivals • Applicants should have displayed complete interest in his livelihood pursuit. • Preference would be given to the family circumstances of applicants including the number of dependants.
This process is jointly undertaken by the administrations of DATA in Sri Lanka and England.
